The Brief

To develop a website and a blog that could be edited by the client. To ensure the website is optimised for Google and offer Vision a platform to build on the rapid development of the company. To represent it as a modern, forward looking business.

The Solution

The success of the website design gives Vision the benefit of:

  • A clear and simple mechanism to communicate to their customers.
  • Clear milestones at each key point of the process to achieve deadlines and requests for information were made in a timely way.
  • A narrative through the designs that tells the story of the branding work now and as the business grows.
  • A website with the right functionality that can grow with the business.
  • A license-free website so no on-going fees exist and web page content can be updated by Vision.

The designs were developed to complement each other. The chosen design gives Vision the ability to establish their brand. And to get their identity embedded in people’s mind. Beginning the process of building the brand and getting the presence of success focused via other concepts such as Vision branded paper aeroplanes helping ‘your bids’ soar above their competitors. The technology behind this website, allows the development of new design narratives to be integrated and keep up-to date as a reflection of the Vision’s development.

The design team focused on the development of mood boards, scenarios and user journeys to help develop symbolic and clever interpretations that would be used to help tell a story that people who come into contact with Vision can understand what they do. These ideas were created into a story-board, along with the technical functions Neil and Victoria wanted their customers to carry out on the website such as, comment securely on their blog, register their interest via a sign-up form, tag clouds, recruit new staff and collect enquiries for new business leads.

Feedback

“Nick and his team took the time to understand what we wanted, how we wanted to be represented to our clients and produced a series of great design work that has a consistent narrative through the logo and website design. We were led through a process that was easy to understand and didn’t monopolise our time, allowing us to get on with our work.”
