The Brief

To develop a logo that gives a stronger identity and for our customers and competitors to see a clear, concise brand that doesn’t play to the cliches of genealogy and tracing ancestary.

Solution

We developed ideas around the strength of the team. Three core directors with over 60 years collective knowledge. We decided to use illustration to soften what could be perceived as an autocratic industry given the sensitivity and nature of probate and family inheritance. The logo and branding developed provided:

  • A strong identity, clear for clients and solicitors to understand
  • A colour palette that could change and develop with the business
  • A formal typography and softer illustrated design to make Martlets more approachable.
